Abortion is a choice. A choice that has cause much talk, discussion and, hate to people's lives. This choice, that many people choose, are doing it because they look at it as an escape. Which in reality it really is not a escape, it is the act of actually killing a living human being. Not giving that baby a chance to live. It is a cruel and selfish act that is one hundred percent against the Fifth Commandment which is Thou Shall Not Kill. More people need to understand that this is so sickening and is not okay! Everyone deserves a chance in this world world, so give it to them.
Euthanasia is also a personal choice. Except with this I personally agree with this for multiple reasons. If a loved one is in excruciating pain or just has suffered long enough, then I feel that that is there personal choice. This is a free world and if someone does not want to suffer any longer, than that is there choice, and no one else's. Personally I find nothing wrong with this but knowing that it does go against the Fifth Commandment, I can look at it in a different aspect and understand why it is looked at as not okay.
Assisted suicide is also another instance that I personally believe that it is a personal right that if they feel the need that they do not want to continue on and live there life than that is their decision. The difference with Assisted suicide is that someone is assisting the patient. Which in more ways than not do i understand how this is more unacceptable, and goes against the Fifth Commandment. With saying that, I believe that if someone under certain conditions, want to end their life than that's their choice and no one should be able to stop them. As simple as that. If this is a free world than that is how we should look at it and treat it.

Trayvon Martin
Trayvon Marin was just a young 17 year old who was on his way home coming from a store with a soda and a pack of skittles. A man named Zimmerman complained to the cops, that this young man walking in front of him was making him feel uncomfortable. The cops said specifically to go in his car and do not keep following this young man named Trayvon. Trayvon was on the phone with his girlfriend and then found himself shot in his chest, and suddenly taking his last gasps for air. This is such a tragic story because this young man was just taking a walk and did not mean to hurt anyone, nor get shot. He was visiting his fathers soon to be wife who lived in a gated and safe community. No one would expect this. This has been a very important and viral case. There are not many that think this neighbor hood watch killer should remain on the loose. He had no license to a gun and was not experienced. Also the fact that he killed a young man that was harmless. Their are certain circumstances that need to be taken. This man needs to be put away for murder. What if next week there is a little 10 year old girl that has a lollipop and looks suspicious to him and he shoots her because he obviously cannot listen to the cops and walk away and let the professionals take care of it. It's sad, and if they lets this go, which i do not think is going to happen, but it pretty much anyone can kill anyone and just say they did not feel comfortable. Man has too much power in this case, and it is unnecessary. That is why we have professionals that get paid to take care of these events. Now they are having a petition going around that everyone should sign. It is very important and this could save lives. This is the link http://t.co/sJ8BQnKb . This story has also raised many thoughts and questions. Could this be about race? The victim was African American and the shooter was not. I personally do think this could be another possible reason but this is just another reason if it is true that racism needs to stop. This was a cold-hearted decision and he needs to be punished for it. It was no "mistake"! Seriously! Was it also a "Mistake" that you continued on following him?! Yeah, probably not. IT WAS A CHOICE. A wrong choice, a cruel choice, a life punishing choice. We cannot let this man get away with it. What are we just going to wait for him to make his next "mistake". God i hope not. This really is ridicules that we even have to sign these petitions and have to fight to put away a man that shot a innocent human being! let me say that again AN INNOCENT human being, who only got to live 17 years of his life. Unlike the killer. The fact that this man is not turning him self in and not agreeing and saying that I just killed someone and that is not right, is a story in itself. This poor guy was just walking talking to his girlfriend and bang. Done. Nothing left. Funny how everything can just be gone in one second.

"The R Word"
Mental Retardation is nothing that should be talked about in a jokingly way. It is a very serious disease and changes a persons life. Ellen Seidman, mother of 9 year old Max, deals with hearing "The R Word" more than necessary. She is very concerned for her son who is growing up with Cerebral Palsy.
Not only is "The R Word" hurtful but very disrespectful and many have started forming groups trying to fight this word to its end. This Word is in need of an ending and is mainly used in a very demeaning way. It is wrong and rude. Everyone probably has said it atleast once in their lives but that does not mean its right.

My Teacher Will Not Allow Me To Swear Online
When students started to become more comfortable with this website, that was when profanity started to become a problem. I personally have never swore on my twitter account because I know my rights from wrongs and I know that is not appropriate for this specific website. With that being said I can say that I do see a lot of swearing from my friends. Now our teachers are just telling us it is not allowed on our twitter... Agree or disagree?
I personally can understand where the teachers are coming from. It is not appropriate especially in a Catholic School. But, with that being said I did make my account before school started and I made it so that I could express how I was feeling when I was feeling it. Not knowing I was going to be told I could not do that. I agree with Freedom of Speech and this does not seem to follow that. I think that it should be up to the students if they wish to create a new twitter, get rid of the profanity or just to ignore it all together.

Slavery & Human Trafficking
Around the world, millions of people are living in oppression. They labor in fields and factories under brutal employers who threaten them with violence if they try to escape. They work in homes for families that keep them virtually imprisoned. They are forced to work as prostitutes or to beg in the streets, fearful of the consequences if they fail to earn their daily allowance. They are women, men, and children of all ages, and they are often held far from home with no money, no connections, and no way to ask for help.
This is modern slavery, a crime that spans the globe, providing ruthless employers with an endless supply of people to abuse for financial gain. Human trafficking is a crime with many victims: not only those who are trafficked, but also the families they leave behind, some of whom never see their loved ones again.
Trafficking has a broad global impact as well. It weakens legitimate economies, fuels violence, threatens public health and safety, shatters families, and shreds the social fabric that is necessary for progress. And it is an affront to our basic values and our fundamental belief that all people everywhere deserve to live and work in safety and dignity.
This is the story of a young girl, Malis. She was sold, and made into a modern day slave by her own parents....
I am 22 years old now. I grew up in a very poor Cambodian family. My parents didn’t own land, so we worked as laborers on other people’s farms. My parents were very violent towards my siblings and me. We never felt love for them. We lived in fear and shame. I never went to school because I had to work all day. It was hard to imagine having a good future.
I still don’t believe my mother thought I had value. Money was more valuable to her than me. To them I was just a laborer. When my parents fell into debt, they sold me for $500 to a family.
The family treated me like a slave. The husband attempted to rape me many times, but I refused with all my strength. He hit me every time I refused. One day I decided to run away from the family, but I got caught. They hit me with electric wire. I stayed there, but I did not give up.
Finally, I escaped with a man I fell in love with. We got married. He introduced me to his parents and they rejected me because I was poor and homeless.
One day my husband and I were in a very serious car accident and my leg was broken. We went to the hospital for care and he left me and never came back. I felt rejected and hopeless. I wanted to kill myself because I thought that no one wanted me.
The hospital sent me to Hagar’s Women Shelter. I was so nervous when I arrived. I didn’t know anyone. I cried. My legs felt horrible. And, I did not have the will to live.
Hagar staff were persistent and encouraged me. Their words were so wonderful. Living in the shelter, gave me hope. I received care, love, counseling, food and other things I never expected to have in my life. Job training from Hagar’s Career Pathways Program in cosmetology really helped me recover. I have a skill that belongs to me and I can support myself. I have value and worth. Now I can say,
“I am priceless. I am more valuable than money.”Malis eventually made it out of being disrespected and mistreated. Some other modern day slaves are not so lucky.
